U sound like my dad. I did enjoy finding like a foot long gardner snake as a ten or eleven year old and chasing my dad around the yard with it.

That's what I thought, when the new skin is 100% ready the rest will fall off.

I have kept pet snakes for 10 years and never used them as a “prop” but I did start making videos about them to show people that fear them how incredible they are as pets.

Snakes are actaually some of the best pets out there and is nothing to do with how “macho” the owner is. It is because we appreciate how amazing these animals are in captivity. If you call that a prop then everytime you or somebody you know takes a picture of a dog then you need to say that dogs are props.

It doesn't *need* help, but it could use some, plus, in the wild the humidity could be bad making it hard to shed and making the shed come off in pieces, and ussually kept just right and so the shed comes off great.

The snake in the zoo was a Boa Constrictor, it could maybe be Nagini as she looks more like a Burmese Python than a Reticulated Python, but in the movies, she was protrayed as a reticulated python which is also non venomous. In the movies as well in the books she’s stated to be both venomous and "as thick as a mans thigh", there is no real venomous snake that big, (the biggest being the King Cobra) only nonvenomous constrictors.

@dodge7151 I'm sorry I dont know much about snakes but aren't they supposed to shed by themselves ? aren't you not supposed to help them? unless they are stuck on shed then you are supposed to leave them on water for about 15 to 20 minutes and then must of the shed is going to fall off and if there's any shed still stuck then you can just take off. It is true that the size of the tank or enclosure doesn't really matter. But isnt that true. I mean I know he's an expert but because he is an expert that doesn't mean that you should help your snake shed they are supposed to do it by themselves doesn't matter the tank size.

It's apparent that you don't know much, if anything, about snakes. The size of an enclosure has absolutely nothing to do with how the snake sheds.

A lot of snakes that size in the wild have broken up sheds.

@Heretic Nature lots of snakes in the wild can get many things if it’s not properly shedded and can go blind and get skin issues

@Heretic Nature Large snakes often do not have clean sheds even when you have the parameters dialed in. And helping a snake to shed when a snake has started to shed does not hurt it. Helping a snake to shed has the benefit of keeping the cage cleaner.
